Jim is happy to announce he is the new operator of the Caretaker’s Cabin and Garden! We will be open to the public beginning Friday night, May 18. OMDC memberships will continue to be active, limited in number and will offer additional benefits, such as reserved seating at special events, ‘members only’ events, ‘members only’ discounts, and off-site events. We are so excited to be open to the public 6 days a week, in the historic ambience in Reeder’s Alley!! Stay tuned for more information on additional evening appetizers added to the menu, as well as great value lunches for those who want to stay and dine, are on the run, or needing delivery in the downtown area. Members can make reservations online for dinners as you have in the past (schedule will be updated by next week), and non-members can call the Caretaker’s Cabin at 406-449-6848 for reservations – which we recommend with limited seating available. Still Accepting Reservations for April Dinners!
We have openings for April 20 and 21 and will accept reservations through next Tue., April 17. This month we’ll be visiting a different venue that features bringing your own favorite alcoholic beverages (and no corking fees). Make your reservations online or contact Jim (406) 431-7995. Come join us at the New Hope Church (1300 Aspen, where it crosses with Cooke), where we will serve all of our Uncommonly Good BBQ menu items! Bring your friends and family and enjoy a great time had by all!
March Dinners Postponed
Due to renovations to the Caretakers Cabin flooring we are postponing the March 9 and 10 dinners. We are anticipating April dinners to occur as scheduled, and pursuing other venues that may yeild additional nights to choose from. All members will have an additional month added to their membership subscriptions!

Taking Reservations thru Sun Feb 12!
All four dining sessions for Fri., Feb 17 and Sat., Feb 18 still have openings! Come enjoy a BBQ meal like no other, in the company of friends and family. We will top it off with special dessert in celebration of Valentine’s Day! We will continue to take reservations through Sun., Feb 12 (as long as dining space is available).
The weather is warming and we are very excited for spring and summer meals in the garden. The updated schedule will be posted soon that expands out through July 2012.
Great January Dinners!
This last weekend we had such fun cooking at the Caretaker’s Cabin in addition to a club member’s home for a private party. Everything on the menu was served, and the some. We enjoyed great conversations, over red wine and cheesecake, with members and their guests. Danny said the lobster reminded him of ‘Days of yore.’
Look for the dinner schedule to extend through the summer and additional photos to be posted soon. Be sure to make reservations early for February dinners to celebrate with your sweetheart the weekend after Valentine’s Day!

We are gearing up for a great weekend at the Caretaker’s Cabin on Fri., Jan 20 and Sat., Jan 21! Reservations will be accepted through Sunday, Jan 14 so be sure to schedule the date and session (5:30 or 7:30 pm) you prefer. Be prepared to enjoy Uncommonly Good BBQ Dining off of our simple, but scrumptious menu. Add a cold brew, a nice glass of wine or a bubbly soda and top it off with great dessert. You won’t leave hungry!!

As you close-out the holiday season, and usher in the new year, be sure to make plans to join us in January to enjoy mouth watering barbecued Australian Rock Lobster or a succulant mountain of Alaskan King Crab. Great Kick-off Weekend!
We are only half way through our kick-off weekend, and it’s been amazingly wonderful! Guests were treated to truly Uncommonly Good with Porterhouse and Rib Steaks cooked to perfection to each individual’s taste. They were quickly devoured, and for those who couldn’t finish it all they have great leftovers for today. The succulant Seafood Skillets with the Alaskan King Crab, Red Snapper, Cod and Sea Scallops with a plump vegetable medley of Roma Tomatoes, Broccoli, and Onion were a delicious combination that will have folks craving it again and again! My specialty mushrooms were served with every dinner to everyone’s delight. Meals were topped off with a choice of delicious cheesecake desserts that come with every meal. Combined with a variety of beverage choices including beer and wine spirits, as well as laughter, good times, and satisfied appetites, this first night was a great success! Memberships and dinners will make a great gift for any occasion. Alaskan King Crab, and Lobster dinners will be added to the menu in January. December Reservation Extension
Reservations for Sat., Dec. 10 are still being accepted (limited number available) through Wed., Dec. 7 (cash or check only) – must contact Jim directly (406) 431-7995. We will be featuring a cheesecake dessert with a variety of choice toppings such as pumpkin, chocolate peppermint, fudge Heath, and Montana Huckleberry, in addition to classic S’Mores. The beer and wine selection will be posted by tomorrow. We are very excited for our kick-off weekend!

We will are taking reservations through tomorrow, Dec., 4 for dining next Sat., Dec. 10, or until we are full.
